New Delhi, 14January 2021: The India Tourism Delhi office celebrated Bhogali Bihu and Makar Sankranti with Bihu dance &Rajasthani music. As part of the Ministry of Tourism’s Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative, the two pairing states of Assam and Rajasthan came together for an evening of dance and music. Mr Anil Oraw, Regional Director, North and Ms Bidisha Sengupta, Additional Director General, North welcomed the guests and also handed over souvenirs to all the participants. The two states of Assam and Rajasthan both celebrate Bhogali Bihu and Makar Sankranti as
a harvest festival with great fervour. On this special occasion artists from Assam presented Bihu dance while the Rajasthani artists presented a song. Special sweets and delicacies from both the states were distributed at the event. The Ministry of Tourism under its Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative is promoting states and their culture and traditions. It is an initiative to enhance the understanding and bonding between the pairing states and also promote national integration.
