Patna, 30 January/Bihar BJP President Sanjay Sarawgi today arrived in Chhapra, the historic and legendary land, as part of his tour programme. Roads from Sonpur to Chhapra were beautifully decorated to welcome him. At several places, welcome gates were put up by party workers.
During his journey, he received a warm and grand welcome at many locations. Party workers showered flowers on the State President and raised enthusiastic slogans in support of the BJP.
As soon as BJP President Sanjay Sarawgi reached Bajrang Chowk in Sonpur, he was accorded a grand reception. After that, he was also welcomed at Pirganj Mod, Dighwara, Ami and Dori Ganj by party workers and various organisations. On this occasion, Chhapra East District President Ranjeet Singh and former Minister and present MLA Krishna Kumar “Mantu” were also present. The State President was further welcomed by party leaders and workers at Nawaji Tola, Bazaar Samiti Mod, Kachahari Station, Nagar Palika Chowk and Ramraj Chowk.
During the tour, the State President also attended the Shraddha (condolence) ceremony of the late mother of former East Mandal President Dhananjay Singh at Garha and paid his heartfelt tribute. On this occasion, MP Janardan Singh Sigriwal and several senior party leaders were present.
Expressing his condolences, the State President said,
“This is a moment of remembrance and compassion. May God grant peace to the departed soul and give strength and patience to the bereaved family in this hour of grief.”
After this, State President Sanjay Sarawgi reached Bhikhari Thakur Auditorium, where workers who were already waiting welcomed him with flower garlands. He participated in the Workers’ Felicitation Ceremony, praised the dedication of the workers and boosted their morale.
Addressing hundreds of workers present at the ceremony, BJP President Sanjay Sarawgi said,
“You are not just workers, you are soldiers of nation-building.”
He further said,
“If the BJP has today become the world’s largest political party, the main reason is inspiring leadership, a strong ideology and the tireless hard work of millions of workers. These are the same workers who work continuously without seeking publicity and who do not give up their patriotism even in the most difficult circumstances.”
He said that the struggle, dedication and hard work of workers are the strongest foundation of India’s bright future.
Calling upon the workers, he said,
“Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is continuously moving forward. Today, the present generation must also contribute its share of sacrifice, dedication and effort. If we want to realise the vision of a Developed India, we must carry forward the tradition of commitment shown by our senior workers and understand our responsibilities.”
The BJP State President also said that under the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Bihar is progressing in every field of development. Since the formation of the NDA government in Bihar, the pace of development has accelerated. He said that the government has set a target of providing employment and job opportunities to one crore youth in the next five years. In this context, he also referred to the situation before 2005.
Appealing to the workers, he said that everyone must ensure their participation in fulfilling the resolve of a Developed India and come forward to take the journey of nation-building to new heights with a strong and dynamic organisation.
After the programme, BJP President Sanjay Sarawgi visited the district office, where he held a meeting with district office-bearers and discussed future plans. He also visited the residence of a Scheduled Tribe party worker, where he had tea and interacted with the family.
In Chhapra, he also met several eminent and intellectual citizens and held discussions with them to understand their views. Later, he held a meeting with members of the District Core Committee. He stayed overnight at the residence of the City President (Central).
BJP State President Sanjay Sarawgi will proceed to Samastipur tomorrow (Saturday) as part of his tour programme.
